I love chalk board paint! I saw someone paint an old fridge with it, and it was so awesome! It totally remade it and you could leave notes for each other and make great grocery lists. It was awesome. Compact Pepper Spray ($7)

I know this seems like a weird thing to put on The Nifty Gifter, but sadly we live in dangerous times and I think it is essential for all girls to have one of these when walking alone. A lot of sad stories could have been avoided if everyone had pepper spray. This is small, compact, pink and is a key-chain. I carried one with me all the time when I lived in LA and it made me feel much safer. While it's not the most romantic of gifts, I think it is a very thoughtful one - and one that could save someone's life.

Hat Rack ($11)

What a great idea! Personally I'm not a big hat person, but I know people that certainly have a lot and this would be a great gift for them. Keeps them easily accessible, organized and displayed nicely. You always wear things more often when you can actually see everything you have.
